Bridge Employment - Services to Employers

Bridge Employment works with employers to help with their recruitment needs.

"Bridge Employment have been really useful and John is a very good worker. I would work with Bridge Employment again, it's been very good for us."

Employer with Employee Bridge Employment will work with you, the employer, to find a great applicant for any suitable vacancy you may have. We will help you to fulfill your duties under the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. Bridge Employment will work with both you, the employer, and our applicant to gain a positive employment outcome. If needed, we can support people at work when they first start to help them learn or settle in. We will continue to support both applicants and employers where support is needed.

How we can help

Bridge Employment is a free service for both applicants and employers.

Our applicants would find the following opportunities very valuable and they could be useful to your business:-

  • Unpaid Work Experience - up to 30 working days

  • Paid Work - We can help you recruit for vacancies in a number of ways:-
    • Detailed matching of skills to your vacancy.
    • Unpaid trial periods can be used to select or train a suitable employee.
    • We can enter your vacancy for free onto the Jobnet database which is a city wide matching and placing service, opening up your vacancy to a wide range of genuine applicants.
    • If you are creating a new role we are able to do a job analysis for you. This is also a useful matching tool for us.

Being a good equal opportunity employer is good for business

The advantages of employing people with disabilities are:-

  • Widen your pool of candidates from which to recruit staff.
  • Gain a competitive advantage by having a diverse workforce that can attract a diverse range of customers. There are over ten million disabled people in Great Britain, most of whom are potential customers and/or employees.
  • Make your business more representative of the community and foster a better public image as a fair and inclusive business.
  • Improve staff morale and loyalty to a business considered inclusive and representative.
  • People overcoming barriers to employment often make very loyal and hardworking employees.

Bridge Employment is a free service. We have developed good, positive relationships with many employers which include:
