A Name Change

The Upperthorpe Healthy Living Centre where Bridge Employment is based has changed its name to 'Zest'. So all the signs for the building have changed but Bridge Employment stays the same.

Drop-In

Bridge Employment is pleased to say that we now run a Drop-In service on every Wednesday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, at the Zest building where we are based (formally the Upperthorpe Healthy Living Centre).

The Drop-In is for people who are interested in finding out more about the Bridge Employment service; they will be able to come in without having an appointment and meet some Employment Workers.

For more information please see the Bridge Services page

Existing funding

Bridge Employment also receives funding from CFFE for Jobnet, Sheffield City Council Social Services Dept, Primary Care Trusts, VC Train and Prospects.

Making Bridge Better Group

The Making Bridge Better group were set up to look at ways that users of the service can help us improve the service. The group have worked on changing and improving the feedback questionnaire that was sent out to clients who use the service in May 2007. They had suggested Bridge Employment having a Jobclub, which has now been set up and the job club is running at Bridge Employment. And the group have given feedback on other pieces of work. They have started to work on their own news page which they will put in their own website, linked to Bridge's web page. And they plan to do some work with the media, such as the radio, a video and assisting with writing the newsletter.
